I am pleased to announce my solo exhibition, Build Time, at Prairie Underground, featuring the third phase of Tying/Untying alongside a selection of new works in fibers and on paper. All of the fibers materials in this show are reclaimed from Prairie Underground, “a socially progressive apparel manufacturer committed to designing modern uniforms that evoke sensuality in daily self-expression.” Prairie Underground designed my performance costume for Tying/Untying.

Tying/Untying echoes the frustration and reward of working together, a three part durational performance taking place over the course of 2023. Starting with phase one this past January at The Vestibule Gallery and continuing in a window front on 5th Avenue in phase two this summer. This work culminates at Prairie Underground in its third phase, a large textile wall sculpture which links both Prince’s 1,000 Paintings of Love series which points to the individuality and importance of each of us in this life and Prince’s Remnant Relationships, a series of hand-woven wall sculptures made from remnant materials.
